About KIX Worship:

KIX Worship at PCC is designed to give the children of Parkgate a special time of learning to worship God and
learning God’s Word and Christian principles. During the adult worship service, the children (through fifth-grade)
are dismissed and they go to KIX Worship, which meets in room six. The children participate in child-geared worship,
followed by a large-group lesson and finally age-appropriate activities such as crafts, DVD based discussion and games.

The children are split into two groups for the last 15 minutes of KIX Worship for small group time.
The younger children, through kindergarten, are in room 4, while the 1st-5th graders remain in room 6.
Parents may pick up their children in the appropriate room at the conclusion of the adult worship service.

Frequently Asked Questions:

When are the children dismissed?
The children are dismissed following the Children’s Moment which takes place during the adult worship service.
Parents are always welcome to accompany their children to KIX Worship.

What is being taught?
The lessons are taken Group’s Kid’s Own Worship curriculum. The lessons follow the major stories and
time line of the Bible, and teach Christian principles and values such as love, peace, joy, forgiveness, grace, etc.

How do I sign up my child?
To keep all children safe, we ask that all children be signed in at the KIX table in the foyer to participate in KIX Worship.
Children will be given a KIX nametag with a unique number and parents will be given a card with the same number.
When parents pick up the children, they will be required to match the card to the child’s numbered nametag.

Can I be involved?
Absolutely! Our KIX program is always looking for volunteers with a passion for children’s ministry. If you are interested in
volunteering, fill out your blue card indicating you would like to investigate KIX. You will have the opportunity to sit in on a
KIX Worship session with “no strings attached,” just to see if it’s right for you. If you like it, join our team!
If you don’t, simply find the best ministry fit for you. You may observe as many times as you would like.
