Our Vision:
KIX exists to connect children to: God, “me,” our community and friends.
Our Goal:
To provide a safe. secure loving environment for children.
Frequently Asked Questions:
How do I sign up my child?
To keep all children safe, we ask that all children be signed in at the KIX table in the foyer to participate
in any KIX class. An adhesive name tag will be put on your child's back with his or her name and a
unique number on it. You will be given a matching card with the child’s number. This card will need to be
presented at the time of pick up. A child will not be released without presentation of the parent’s corresponding tag.
What safety measures has the church taken?
Each church volunteer goes through a criminal background check and attends various types of training.
Two or more volunteers are always present with the children. Only female volunteers will attend to
diaper changes and bathroom needs. Also, all children are required to be checked in and out of their
classrooms by the same adult.
What about germs?
Our classrooms are disinfected daily to lessen the spread of illness. In addition, we operate a well-baby
program. For the protection of all the children in our ministry, we ask that if a child has had a fever
within the last 24 hours, has a fresh cold, vomiting or diarrhea, or is visibly ill, please refrain from bringing
them to class. Thank you in advance for helping us keep our KIX program a healthy place for all.
What Should I Bring?
When packing a diaper bag, please include the following items (depending on age):
Please label all items with your child’s name or initials to prevent loss.
What if my child cries?
Most children stop crying shortly after the door closes. If a child does not stop, the parents will be paged.
Do you provide snacks?
Snacks are provided for the children in the 1st Steps classroom. The food items consist of water and
Cheerios or vanilla wafers for our toddlers. If your child has an allergy, please inform the leader when you
check in your child.
Can I be involved?
Absolutely! Our KIX program is always looking for volunteers with a passion for children’s ministry.
If you are interested in volunteering in any area, fill out your blue card indicating you would like to investigate KIX.
You will have the opportunity to sit in on a KIX session with “no strings attached,” just to see if it’s right for you.
If you like it, join our team! If you don’t, simply find the best ministry fit for you. You may observe as
many times as you would like.
