The leader of the group is Harold Key. Harold is a graduate from Lipscomb and Pepperdine universities and has done advanced studies at Harding Graduate School of Religion and Eden Theological Seminary. For six years he was a certified instructor in the Dale Carnegie Leadership training courses. He served as preaching minister fourteen years with Lamar-Parkway Church of Christ in Memphis, two years with the Greenville, Mississippi Church of Christ, and then sixteen years for the Central Church of Christ in St. Louis.
Harold and his late wife, Wilma, moved to Pasadena in 1977 and was sales manager of A and H Glass Company, and then of Johnson Glass Company, until he retired in 1987. Since then he has been an instructor in both communication and theology at South Houston Bible Institute.
From 1977 until 2003, Harold and Wilma were members of the Burke Road Church of Christ, where He served as elder for fifteen years.
From 1999-2004 Harold served as president of the Parkgate IV Neighborhood Association. He continues as president emeritus.
For the past three years he has been an active member of Parkgate Community Church as a teacher and vice chairman of the church council. His daughter, Danette Lawson is the director of Parkgate Children's Center. She and her husband Kim are very active in leading worship.
